1. Our new Senior Patrol Leader for the next six months is Michael P. He will be choosing his ASPL’s shortly. Any Scout interested in serving in a leadership role may talk to him. We will be holding a Patrol Leaders Council soon as well as a Junior Leader Training Session for those Scouts who have not had a chance to go through the training.
2. Our next camp out will be in three weeks on the weekend of March 7th to 9th at the Chickasaw Trace Park in Maury County. The program will be Mountain Biking but we will have many other activities as well. This will be a fun campout about where all you need is a bike helmet. We will also have extra mountain bikes for those who need a bike. Remember being in Scouting means going camping. The weather for this time of year should be very pleasant.
3. Summer Camp information packets are being distributed now. Mr. Wright has one for each Scout so please see him during the meetings for your packet. Please read the material carefully and choose your advancement classes well. Summer Camp should be fun and every Scout should come home with some completed advancements.
4. Just a reminder that the 2007 Centennial Quality Unit Patches are in, these are the Quality Unit patches we will be wearing for 2008. Please see Dr. Petcu for your patch.
5. All Scouts and adults are strongly encouraged to join the Troop for the Spring work day at the Belle Meade United Methodist Church. This is one of the important times where we as a Troop directly help our sponsoring organization. Breakfast will be served at 8 am with work to follow. Everyone will be done by noon. Please make every effort to attend and show our appreciation to the congregation.
6. The Troop Adult Appreciation Dinner is on March 1st, 2008 at the Shope’s house @6:30. All adults are welcome. Since it will be a pot luck dinner, we have a sign up for food that Sharon Bellamy is handling and her address is sharonbellamy2 at yahoo.com
